Major Lazer is gearing up for their Peace Is The Mission album this summer, and the dancehall/EDM trio have been unveiling some major heat leading up to its release. The latest tune to surface is “Powerful,” which features indie popstress Ellie Goulding and reggae star Tarrus Riley.
It is a smooth mid-tempo that oozes seduction thanks to Goulding’s surprisingly attention-grabbing vocals, Riley’s captivating tone and the stomping yet still melodic production. Major Lazer’s album is sounding stronger with every new track release, so don’t be surprised if the project dominates the music festivals come summer!
“Powerful” is the latest taste off Major Lazer’s
forthcoming third LP, Peace Is The Mission. It follows the heavy-hitting “Night Riders” with Pusha T, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz and Mad Cobra; Ariana Grande’s “All My Love” remix with Soca artist Machel Montano and “Lean On” featuring MØ and DJ Snake.
