After what felt like an eternity of Instagram teasers and preview pics, Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” video is finally here and it somehow manages to live up to the hype. Beautifully filmed in black-and-white, the visual begins with glimpses of an abandoned town before the 33-year-old takes center stage. He looks like the dreamiest actor never cast on The Vampire Diaries with his towering quiff and black, leather ensemble.

The video then takes a twist when the deep house beats drop. We’re taken to a warehouse for a ’90s-inspired dance-off that looks like a cross between Madonna’s “Vogue” and your typical C+C Music Factory visual (if they hired goth dancers). Director Hype Williams keeps the action moving at a frantic pace, but stays true to the song’s emotional core by focusing on Adam’s emotional performance. Watch up top.
