Charli XCX Covers June 2015 Issue Of ASOS Magazine: 8 Photos

"Pretty Girls" Video Inspired By '80s Comedy

Charli XCX’s style is typically ’80s-inspired and kooky, but for the June 2015 issue of ASOS magazine the “Famous” chanteuse is showing a softer, more carefree side!

In the editorial photo shoot, Charli is a ’70s disco queen as she rocks sequins, suede, halter tops and a striking face. When asked to describe her music, the artist said “It’s like The Ramones and Barbie had sex… it’s loud, it’s in your face, but it’s like …pink and sassy too. It’s a big middle finger to all the people who thought that I’d get dropped or wasn’t a credible artist.”

Charli also discussed BFF and “Doing It” collaborator Rita Ora: “Rita is so fun and so refreshing to be around… we click so well because we’re both chilled. Rita is the opposite of a diva and I love that about her.”

Along with covering magazines and promoting her killer Sucker album, Charli is now prepping for her Charli And Jack Do America summer tour with Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff! The string of dates kicks off on July 21 in San Diego.
