Los Angeles new wave enthusiasts Mirror Talk have an EP called 1997 coming your way on May 19 (pre-order on iTunes), and today Idolator is premiering the quartet’s track “Some Boys.” The synth-heavy power ballad sounds like something straight off the radio in 1984 (despite, you know, the EP being titled 1997), and we mean that in the best way possible.
Between frontman Court Alexander’s soulful vocals and the A-plus melodic hook, “Some Boys” has us earmarking Mirror Talk as ones to watch in 2015.
