Niykee Heaton's Open Letter
Niykee Heaton calls out her record label in open letter, reveals Kanye's career advice.

Niykee Heaton recently severed ties with her record label in the most public way. “We put up with constant and continual bullying, lies, unfair compromises, underhanded politics, name-calling, blame games and much more,” the 20-year-old write in an open letter. “They wanted me to change the way that I looked, the way that I acted, the way I sang, the words I wrote, who I was as an artist.”

Happily, the Complex centerfold hasn’t let the drama affect her productivity. She uploaded a new track called “Bardot” last week and now follows it up with “Woosah.” A gritty groove about an unhealthy, one-sided relationship, the track highlights Niykee’s razor sharp lyrics and knack for creating melodies. “You’re the lowest of the low, say it’s cuz you started from the bottom,” she sings dismissively. “Now you made it to the top and shit, you still ain’t what I wanted.”

Hopefully the Chicago-born babe finds a new home soon and gets the opportunity to show the full extent of her talent. Listen to “Woosah” below.
