Kanye West Performs “Heartless” Freestyle In Los Angeles: Watch
Kanye West performed a new freestyle to his 2008 song “Heartless” at Powerhouse LA last night (May 17). Backed by producer Mike Dean’s pounding piano, West sings that he wants it all, though not without some self-affirming verses in between.
“Everything that I do is not perfect, only makes it that, that, that much more perfect,” West repeats — and the same could be said for his verse, dubbed “I Want It All” online. While his live performances are typically unhinged, West seems to be merely singing through his usual live show talking points, so that they don’t get dismissed as “rants” the next day.
This isn’t the first time that West has tried to contain himself live lately. While headlining KIIS FM’s Wango Tango last weekend, he tried his best to behave himself. “I know everybody at the radio station is scared I might talk some shit tonight,” he said, though for once, that was that.
