Rita Ora’s Duet With Ed Sheeran Celebrates The Fact They Have Never “Hooked Up”
Due to forces beyond Rita Ora’s control (namely, ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris took back all the songs he wrote), the Brit’s sophomore LP is now 12 months overdue. Happily, it all seems to be coming together with the release of second single “Poison.” But what else can we expect from the album? The “Black Widow” diva has previously mentioned collaborations with Prince and Jay Z. You can now add Ed Sheeran to the list of featured artists.
“I did this incredibly beautiful song with Ed about our friendship,” Rita told Noisey. “He’s one of my best friends. It’s amazing having a friend in this industry of the opposite sex that you haven’t hooked up with. He’s such a legend. I respect him in so many ways.” The 24-year-old was also asked why she cops so much flack online. “I don’t read any of that stuff,” she answered. “If there’s one bad thing, then there’s 10 more good things. I love supporting others, I’m a nice person and I’m dedicated to my job.” Fair enough.
