Miley Cyrus has shared two more of her Backyard Session covers as part of her Happy Hippie Foundation supporting homeless and LGBT youth. Previously for these covers, she’s linked up with the likes of Ariana Grande and Joan Jett, but she’s riding solo for this latest pair of performances.
Up above, watch her faithful rendition of The Turtles‘ 1967 classic “Happy Together,” fittingly outfitted in a smiley-face top, and down below catch her take on Paul Simon‘s “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover.” Both songs alternate between morose verses and cheery choruses, allowing her to showcase the emotional depth of her voice, which easily shifts between pain and playfulness for these takes.
