Charice Celebrates Her True Self On Instagram: 16 Inspiring Pics
Most of us remember Charice as the powerhouse vocalist behind “Note To God” and “Pyramid,” or perhaps as the bubbly Sunshine Corazon on Glee. However, a lot has changed since the Filipino singer/actress left the show. She came out as a lesbian in 2013 and radically changed her physical appearance. “My soul is like male,” the 23-year-old told Oprah Winfrey last year. “But I’m not going to go through that stage where I change everything.”
The pop star has been sharing her journey of self-discovery with fans on Instagram with regular gym selfies and happy snaps. She even posted a note to haters, saying: “I have been criticized about how I turned out to be. I have been manipulated to be someone I’m not.” However, Charice remains defiant. “I made sacrifices. But still, I chose to be me. To be ME.” We celebrate the diva’s true, authentic self in a gallery up top. Keep you fingers crossed that we get new music soon too!
