Brandon Flowers' 'The Desired Effect': LP Review
See why the synth-soaked new album is one of his career highlights.

Brandon Flowers’ sophomore album, The Desired Effect, is slowly becoming one of our favorites of this year so far, which is partly due to stand-out tracks like “I Can Change.” The singer first released the Bronski Beat-sampling tune on May 1, and how he has revealed its accompanying lyric video today (May 22).

The latest visual has a vintage, Miami Vice feel to it, which includes neon lights, palm trees, sunsets and Flowers’ ominous presence — the end result is quite hypnotic!

“I Can Change” follows “Lonely Town,” “Still Want You” and the insanely catchy “Can’t Deny My Love,” both of which are off Flower’s stunning sophomore LP The Desired Effect (released on May 19 via Island Records).
