Azealia Banks Talks 'Business And Pleasure'
The rapper discusses her next album.

Azealia Banks has always been a multi-tasker, usually balancing music and fashion. And now with her sophomore album half-done, the Harlem rapper is set to star in Coco, a new film directed by RZA. In her feature film debut, she’ll play the title character in the rap drama, following an aspiring MC from Brooklyn balancing her college education with her hip-hop career.

“I’m extremely excited and vigorously inspired to be working with Azealia Banks in my new directorial installment,” RZA said in a statement. “Producer Paul Hall and I have assembled a cool and eclectic cast to surround Azealia. Our story, which is set in today’s contemporary youth culture, will bring a new voice to cinema that needs to be heard.”

The Wu-Tang Clan leader made his feature directorial debut with 2012’s The Man With The Iron Fists, and for this movie he has enlisted Common and Jill Scott to star alongside Banks. Shooting has already started.
