Tamar Braxton teams up with Future for Aaliyah-sampling anthem "Let Me Know."

There’s no love lost between K.Michelle and Tamar Braxton, but the divas have a similar cross to bear. Namely, that their (very good) music is dismissed due to the way they got their big break. At a time when artists are being discovered via Vine and Instagram, it seems ridiculous that there’s still a stigma attached to being on reality TV. Not that it affected either of them too much — as far as sales and chart accomplishments are concerned.

Tamar returns today with the lead single from fourth LP (I guess Winter Wonderland counts as a studio album) Calling All Lovers. I thought Future collaboration “Let Me Know” had that honor, but according to the press release “If I Don’t Have You” is the official lead single. And it’s a stunning mid-tempo ballad that showcases the 38-year-old’s full vocal range over an understand arrangement courtesy of Da Internz. Love her or hate her, you will get your life when she hits those high notes!
