Justin Bieber appears to feature rising R&B star Kehlani in a new song, as heard in snippets posted to Snapchat over the weekend.

Both clips show one of Bieber’s friends, singer Khalil (“Playtime is Over”), as he plays the duet in the background, without commentary. Quickly, Beliebers started debating on Twitter over who the female voice could be. Some said Kehlani, while others said Tori Kelly (“Unbreakable Smile”), who has the same manager as Bieber.

Then, as if she saw what was going on, Kehlani tweeted, “yes, that’s my voice.”

The Los Angeles-via-Oakland, Calif., singer was first part of a teen pop group named Poplyfe, who appeared on the 2011 season of America’s Got Talent. Then, while the rest of the group backed Zendaya on tour, Kehlani began pursued a solo career. She has since racked up millions of SoundCloud listens and played her music for Rick Rubin.
