Bleachers released their four-track “Like A River Runs” EP today, which comprises Jack Antonoff‘s new version of the towering Strange Desire single, plus a live take, a cover by Sia and a “15 minute conversation with a dream specialist” called “Dreams Aren’t Random.”
And, look, we know you’re here for the dream analysis, but we’re going to discuss the Sia offering instead. She’s on a cover streak lately, and much like her “California Dreamin'” reinterpretation, this one is a somber affair as she twists the anthemic churn of the original into a plaintive ballad filled with layered harmonies and strings.
