One of the great injustices of 2015 was rectified when Bebe Rexha was officially added to the credits of David Guetta’s summer smash “Hey Mama.” As a result, the rising singer/songwriter is currently enjoying the first top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s a sweet victory considering the 25-year-old’s catchy chorus is the glue the holds the superstar collaboration together.

To celebrate, the “I Can’t Stop Drinking About You” diva has recorded a solo, acoustic version of the song — and it works surprisingly well without the thunderous beats. Bebe sings Nicki’s opening verse and the chorus in her stripped-back version, showcasing the full range of her powerful pipes. The pop star recently dropped her debut EP I Don’t Want To Grow Up. Listen to her solo version of “Hey Mama” below.
