Janet Jackson is gearing up to make a major comeback this year, and the return of one of generation’s biggest divas is arriving sooner than later!

Today (June 3), the entertainer unveiled some pretty awesome news on her official website: She will be releasing her first studio album in seven years, which will be the follow-up to the underrated Discipline (released in 2008). But that isn’t all!

Jackson’s forthcoming LP will arrive this Fall and is set to drop under her own record label Rhythm Nation — a partnership with BMG. Along with the chanteuse’s project, she also plans to work with both new and established artists on the label.

If this news was not enough, it has been reported that Janet’s comeback single will hit the masses later this month. Yet with her latest album just around the corner, that rumor may turn out to be true!
