Ellie Goulding Covers The July 2015 Issue Of ‘Elle UK,’ Puts An End To Those Love Triangle Rumors
Ellie Goulding has a newfound confidence in her body (have you not seen her amazing Nike ad campaign?), so it comes as no surprise the pop starlet covers the July 2015 Body Issue for Elle UK.
The “Powerful” singer looks refreshed on the magazine cover, which is shot by Aitken Jolly, in a colorful abstract-printed outfit. Inside the issue, Ellie clears up rumors about an alleged love triangle between herself, One Direction’s Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran.
“I did go on a few dates with Niall [Horan] but I was never in a relationship with Ed [Sheeran]. I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing,” Ellie tells Elle UK. “I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by the men they have or haven’t dated. It’s something I’ve talked about with Taylor [Swift] a lot. She definitely feels that. She gets bothered by it.”
But Ellie is happy to be with her boyfriend Dougie Poynter, the bassist of pop/rock band McFly. She even tells the magazine that good friend Calvin Harris has offered to play at their wedding — don’t worry, they are not engaged yet.
