The Foy Vance-featuring “Never Let You Go” is the first single off Rudimental‘s upcoming sophomore LP, We The Generation (out September 18), and it gets an appropriately stunning video to compliments the dream-like nature of the soulful track.

In the visual we see men, women and children from different walks of life, doused in skin color-altering paint. A small baby is the first figure we meet, but as the drum and bass troupe’s video progresses, and the characters age, the more peaceful imagery (such as small kids in a field of flowers) is offset by the appearance of war machines, soldiers and militants carrying machine guns on a mountain.

The final image we’re treated to is a small girl staring directly into the camera, with a scar on her paint-free face. Is every generation doomed to fall into the patterns of war that have plagued history?
