Avicii Says He “Wasn’t Happy” With The Songs He Produced For Madonna, Slams Journalist For Misquoting Him
Just when you thought Madonna’s Rebel Heart era couldn’t get any messier, key collaborator Avicii threw a little shade at the diva in an interview with The Daily Star. “At the beginning we were all on the same page and then… I wasn’t… happy with the final product,” he revealed, hinting at creative differences. The Swedish producer then said what many people have been thinking since the album arrived. Namely, that the leaked demos were often better than the finished versions. “I thought it was better,” the 25-year-old admitted of one track. “It was more me.”
However, before you start burning effigies of the “Waiting For Love” hitmaker, he publicly slammed the journalist who wrote the article in a hair-raising Instagram post. “@jack_hardwick93 thanks for your misquotes and completely out of context interview,” Avicii wrote. “I will never talk to you again.” He then went in for the kill with the most biting “P.S.” in recent memory. “What a slimey phoney c*nt u are my friend.” See his comeback below.
