Katy Tiz has a hit on her hands with “Whistle (While You Work It).” Produced by J.R. Rotem, the follow-up to 2014 viral hit “The Big Bang” is racking up spins on Hot AC radio and swiftly ascending iTunes. As a result, the feel-good anthem is sitting just outside the Billboard Hot 100 — number 20 on the Bubbling Under Chart — and should make a splashy debut in the next couple of weeks if momentum keeps building.
This morning’s (June 10) performance on Today will only help her cause. The British bombshell exuded sunny charm as she chatted with Hoda Kotb and then belted out “Whistle (While You Work It).” In other Katy news, there’s now a mellow reggae version of the track featuring comeback king Shaggy and Inner Circle.
