LEFTI Puts His Spin On ASTR’s “Activate Me” Single: Idolator Premiere
Among the midst of heavyweight pop stars
, we occasionally stumble upon some pretty awesome musical gems from up-and-coming artists. Last October, we premiered a remix curated by ASTR. But today (June 15), it is the NYC duo’s turn for their music to be remixed!
We are unveiling a new take on ASTR’s “Activate Me” single (released in May), which was overhauled by LEFTI — a producer who also hails from NYC. The original track is a vibrant ’90s-influenced house uptempo, and the remix adds a robotic undercut to its already moody tone. The mix of metallic synths, clanging percussion and emotive vocals make for a potential dance club favorite!
