We revisit them all, from "Miss You Much" to "All For You."

We’ve finally reached the weekend, Idolator readers! The past few days were filled with major music moments, which kicked off with a ton of album releases — Adam Lambert‘s The Original HighHilary Duff‘s Breathe In. Breathe Out, Giorgio Moroder‘s Deja Vu, Ryn Weaver‘s The Fool and Nate Ruess Grand Romantic.

In the midst of new music, Lana Del Rey (finally) dropped a snippet of “Honeymoon,” while Madonna released her polarizing “Bitch I’m Madonna” video — which many, including us Idolator editors, had a lot to say about it.

On our end, we interviewed Adam Lambert, rolled out our Song Of The Summer series and announced a Magic Mike XXL ticket giveaway. It was also a week-long celebration of Janet Jackson, as we curated a beginner’s guide, revisited her 10 chart-toppers and created galleries of her sexiest photos as well as the singer’s best single cover artwork. Speaking of Damita Jo, she released a music snippet an announced the Unbreakable World Tour!

And of course, our readers spoke their minds on the going-ons in the frantic musicworld. Read some of the best and shadiest comments below!

:: funbunn40 expressed their Adam Lambert standom on Adam Lambert’s ‘The Original High’: Album Review: “What i admire most about Adam is his ability to sing magically in any genre & vocal range. He has such control, perfect pitch and expression. Adam’s been so under rated, most likely because of his previous image of camp and glitter which was part of his journey of career discovery. He’s matured into a formidable, limitless performer that now seems to be comfortable in his own more laid back skin. Adam will always have that undeniable, exciting spark and genuine sense of fun and creativity that we Glamberts know and love. He’s the complete package and The Original High is a winner!”

:: Leonardo Valladares made an iconic reference on Joe Jonas Is Reportedly Dating Model Gigi Hadid: Morning Mix: “Isn’t Gigi one of Taylor’s friends? as Gretchen Wieners would say: Irregardless! Ex-boyfriends are just off limits to friends. I mean, that’s just, like, the rules of feminism!”

:: musick lova is so here for the divas on Janet Jackson Previews New Music For Her Fans: Listen: “I really hope Ms. Jackson (Yup, I’m Nasty) makes a successful “comeback”! We’ve seen many great attempts this year , but with Luke – warm receptions. Mariah – Check, Madonna – check, Janet – coming soon, SHANIA WHERE ARE YOU? YOU ARE SUMMONED TO BE NEXT!”

:: Mark spilled the truth tea on Watch Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West & More Go HAM In  “Bitch I’m Madonna” Video: “I hurts me to refer to Madonna (who I have adored for forever) as desperate–but this whole thing is getting ridiculous. The video would have been cute *without* the cameos which look extremely forced, last minute and just plain weak. I love the idea of Bey being in an M video, but not in this way and not for this song. I imagine that the only reason Bey agreed to this was because of Tidal–otherwise, it’s an annoying blemish in her recent A+ efforts. And, fundamentally, the song sucks. It is a decent beat, but the verses are grating. It could have been a lot smarter and more powerful, which would have been more true to Madonna, who now seems to be forgetting herself (ironic given the song’s intended sentiment). Now I have to forget this whole Rebel Heart era. I really rather listen to MDMA as this point.”

:: While Marlon is ready for Janet Jackson‘s comeback on “All For You”: A Beginner’s Guide To Everything Janet Jackson: I am starting to be content and satisfied to know that Janet is FINALLY getting the credit that she RIGHTFULLY deserve. This new generation have acknowledged if it wasn’t for JANET they were not able to have the artistic freedom to push the envelope to display a softer, sensual and sexy side within their music and videos. Hopefully this new generation will read this article and look through her catalog of innovative and game changing music and videos to understand what her fans have known all along.

:: S_am_S expressed some major thoughts on Pop Perspective: Madonna’s “Bitch I’m Madonna” Video Reviewed By All Four Idolator Editors:

“I’m with Mike here, the “pile on Rita party” is so tired. All because she kind of looks like Rihanna, so there can’t be two fair-skinned pop stars? If she puts out good music, let it be. If it’s boring, oh well. Hating just to hate is really depressing and shameful.

As for the video, it would’ve been more effective had it dropped without any mention of the cameos. They look cheap following the hype. The “poster” for the video was very clearly aimed at ‘Bad Blood’ so it’ll be interesting to see any response. I get serious ‘Hung Up’ vibes from the long takes, dance offs and rowdy crowd visuals. Definitely the best of the three she’s released in the #RebelHeart era. I go back and forth with the song. There are some parts I like and others I can’t stand.

This album launch has been messy, to say the least. Plagued with controversy, tone-deafness and desperation. She has now launched videos on Snapchat and Tidal for an album that needs as much exposure as possible. Both of those releases have been disastrous and limit the audience considerably. I went to sign up for a “Free Trial” of Tidal just to watch an HD version of the vid and it asked for payment information so I could be automatically charged when my 10-Day trial ended. Not the way to build a customer base. Content first, then charge. Learn from Hulu, Spotify, etc., gang.”

Over on our Facebook page, there were a lot of opinions about the “Bitch I’m Madonna” video! Read a few comment gems below:

:: Steven Lowe: “God dammit Madonna there are so many other better songs she could have released as singles instead of this attention grabbing dross. We all know who you are luv!!!! Such naff people to chose for cameos, Kanye r u kidding me on????? Hugely dissapointed 😕😕”

:: Marcie Saenz Graham: “So many mixed emotions about this…Madonna is the queen of pop…she will always have that title because she was the first…however she needs to stop reinventing herself into something she isnt. Pick a theme and stick with it. I love her but its like “Who the hell are you?” Power to her for looking fab at her age and wanting to show it off but good grief take out the stupid grill and stop using every single trend (kool aid hair) and just make some damn good music that doesnt use autotune! Ok im done. <drops the mic>”

:: Christian Pedraza: “Some of you comment like Madonna peed on your coffee, it’s a fun video not the end of the world!”

:: Angel Garcia: “Oh wow all illuminati people in one song. Yup not going to hear this devilish song.”
