Is Madonna Prepping A “Justify My Love/”Whole Lotta Love” Mashup For The Rebel Heart Tour?
Madonna hit up Instagram today (June 19) to show show off her shredding skills. In the short video, the Material Girl wields what looks like an E-II Arrow guitar (very metal) and plays Jimmy Page‘s iconic riff from Led Zeppelin‘s “Whole Lotta Love.”
This may just be a cool bit of Madge ephemera — but perhaps there’s something more here! A couple weeks ago, a mashup of Madonna’s 1990 song “Justify My Love” and the 1969 Zep classic showed up online under the name “Justify A Whole Lotta Love.” So, the conspiracy theory center of my brain thinks the pop queen is preparing to unleash a live version of the clever pairing on her forthcoming Rebel Heart world tour. The tour kicks off August 29, so she has plenty of time to start rehearsing it.
