Lady Gaga Crashes The Dirty Pearls Concert And Covers Billy Idol: Watch
Lady Gaga crashed The Dirty Pearls‘ concert in New York’s Gramercy Theatre last night (June 20). She traded the mic back and forth with vocalist Tommy London to sing “Applause,” belted some lines from Billy Idol‘s “Rebel Yell” and strutted the stage in black panties, torn fishnets and knee-high boots, reestablishing just how much she loves rock ‘n’ roll.
Lady Gaga has a storied history with the Dirty Pearls: The New York-based band played the official after parties for Gaga’s 2013 tour, opened for her at last year’s SXSW and is even name-checked in “Heavy Metal Lover” (“Dirty Pearls and a patch for all the Rivington Rebels / Let’s raise hell in the streets, drink beer and get into trouble”).
But even if Dirty Pearls fans had no idea of all that, Gaga made it clear. The ARTPOP diva was totally at ease last night, particularly when she flashed the crowd to reveal her sparkly pasties underneath her cropped tee. Watch the fan footage below.
