Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Your Type”: Listen To Yet Another ‘E·MO·TION’ Album Track
For whatever reason, Carly Rae Jepsen‘s new album E·MO·TION is out in Japan this week, while the rest of the world will have to wait two months, until August 21, for an official release. So in other words, expect to see lots of tracks from the LP “surfacing online” in the days to come.
The latest tune to do so is “Your Type,” a sweet and synthy mid-tempo number that keeps in line with the ’80s aesthetic Carly Rae loves so much.
“I think my heart and soul does stick very much in the ’80s, because I feel that was the purest pop at its finest, like the emotional ’80s,” Jepsen told Idolator recently. “I think that’s what you’ll find with my album, it all goes there — in a new way, of course, but it definitely tips its hat to that whole era.”
She certainly wasn’t pulling our leg.
