Pop Perspective: Selena Gomez's "Good For You"
Selena Gomez's "Good For You" gets reviewed and rated by all four Idolator editors.

While it’s near impossible not to compare Selena Gomez’s “Good For You” and Demi Lovato’s “Cool For The Summer” (they are the same age, part of the Disney trinity along with Miley Cyrus and both experimenting with their sound), but there’s no competition according to Sel. In an interview with Brazilian blog Hugo Gloss, she revealed that she downloaded Demi’s new single and described it as “very good.”

“Yes, I bought it,” the Stars Dance diva said. “It’s very good!” That’s sweet. Hopefully they will patch up their friendship and bless us with a duet one of these days. Warm and fuzzy feelings aside, it will be interesting to see who lands the bigger hit. Selena has the edge on iTunes (“Good For You” is number seven, while “Cool For The Summer” is hovering outside the top 10 at number 16), but Demi is getting a better reception on radio. (An overall audience impression of 35.3 million vs 33.5 million). May the better song win!
