Peking Duk Rock Out On New Single “Say My Name” From Debut US EP ‘Songs To Sweat To’: Listen
Peking Duk dropped their debut US single “Say My Name” today (July 10) and it’s something of a departure from the smooth electro-house of “High” and “Take Me Over.” The Australian duo embrace their inner-rockers on the hook-filled track, which was inspired by Arctic Monkeys’ 2013 hit “Do I Wanna Know?” Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles explained how the song came together when I caught up with them at Coachella in April.
“[We were] listening to the Arctic Monkeys song ‘Do I Wanna Know?’… and we’re like, ‘Fuck, we should write a song like that’,” Adam recounted. “And then we went back to the house, and we smoked a bit of weed, and the song was written very, very, very quickly. Yeah, like really, really fucking quickly.” You can grab “Say My Name” as an instant download when you pre-order Peking Duk’s debut EP Songs To Sweat To (click here).
