The 2015 Primetime Emmy Nominations have been revealed today (July 16), and the extensive list includes categories for actors, television shows — and our personal favorite — music!
Montage of Heck, the much-discussed HBO documentary that focuses on Kurt Cobain, scored five nominations — which included Outstanding Cinematography for Nonfiction Programming and Outstanding Writing For Nonfiction Programming.
Beyonce and Jay Z‘s On The Run (which also aired on HBO), received a nod for Outstanding Special Class Program. Other nomination highlights include Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga: Cheek To Cheek LIVE! for Variety Special, Katy Perry’s Superbowl Halftime performance for Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program and The Voice for Production Design For Variety, Nonfiction, Reality or Reality-Competition Programming.
