Marina And The Diamonds Is Well And Truly “Blue” At The County Fair: Watch The Brit’s New Video
Marina And The Diamonds returns with the fifth — and best — video from Froot today (July 16). After keeping it surprisingly minimal with the other visuals, the Brit goes big with this neon-colored joyride. The “Blue” teaser, which arrived earlier this week, gave away the plot: the 29-year-old is trying to take her mind off a break-up with a fairground visit, but the bright lights and good vibes only amplify her loneliness.
We see the (not so) “Happy” diva take in the sights alone. Marina starts off quite composed — eating fairy floss and walking through an empty roller disco, but she is soon overcome and spends a chunk of time sobbing on a ride. It’s the most quintessentially ‘Marina’ moment of the entire Froot era. There’s also a little choreography towards the end, which finds our heroine dancing up a storm in front of the bumper cars.
