Madonna's 'Rebel Heart', By The Numbers
Why isn't Madonna's latest album a hit? What went so wrong?

Back in March, when Madonna‘s seminal dance-pop classic “Vogue” turned 25, there were plenty of retrospectives doing the rounds online — some of which involved key players from the original video shoot looking back. But earlier this week, an item surfaced online that’s got Madge’s loyal army of fans striking ecstatic poses all over again: a video clip that shows the pop queen and her onetime backup singers, Donna De Lory and Niki Harris, shooting two different takes on the set of the David Fincher-directed video.

Where exactly did this video come from and how on earth did it leak? Who knows. Madonna does have a concert tour coming up and tickets to sell, so it’s interesting timing, no?

Fincher had previously lensed Madonna’s 1989 “Express Yourself” video and, as we know, went on to direct such films as Seven, Fight Club, The Social Network and the English language version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Madonna still retains her status as one of the biggest-selling, highest-grossing and most polarizing artists on the planet. By the mid-’00s, Donna and Niki eventually parted ways with Madonna after a lengthy run as background vocalists on her recordings and on stage.

But for one glamorous moment in early 1990 on a Burbank soundstage, all involved came together and vogued their way to perfection.

Watch two supposedly leaked outtakes from Madonna’s classic video above.
