Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Beyonce lead the 2015 MTV VMA nominations.

Boy, the 2015 MTV VMAs‘ rating are going to go through the roof come August, as your faves continue to add more drama to the much-discussed nominations.

Twitter has been a mecca of shade over the past few days, with Azealia Banks and Tinashe voicing their opinions on the nominations. But the real drama occurred when Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift exchanged a few tweets regarding “Anaconda” not snagging a Video Of The Year Award. (Oh, Katy Perry casted a cloud of her own).

Now, the “Bad Blood” singer is apologizing to the rapstress for her remarks. “I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki,” she wrote on Twitter today (July 23).

Taylor’s BFF Ed Sheeran also decided to hop in the mix, as he came to the singer’s defense. “She didn’t nominate herself for the awards. It’s not her fault, she just made some good videos and people think they’re good….And I think the Minaj point is a bit redundant, her point is that you have to be skinny and white to get a video of the year nomination but Beyoncé‘s ‘7/11’ is in there and that is celebrating the female figure in every form,” he told The Daily Telegraph.
