2015 MTV VMA Nominations
Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Beyonce lead the 2015 MTV VMA nominations.

Get ready American Ed Sheeran fans, as the UK singer will be premiering a new television special here in the states.

Titled Ed Sheeran – Live at Wembley Stadium, the hour-long special is set to air on NBC on Sunday, August 16 at 8 p.m. ET. The show will focus on the “Thinking Out Loud” singer’s three sold out summer headlining shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.

It will include Sheeran singing his biggest tunes, performing a duet with Sir Elton John and previously unseen backstage documentary footage. The artist had this to say about performing at the legendary venue:

“I can’t say that performing at Wembley Stadium was a ‘dream come true,’ because I honestly thought it was out of reach and didn’t think it was possible. But with each tour, the venues continued to grow and it became something of a challenge to see how far we could take it, how big we could go and still deliver a show that connected with the entire audience.  It really doesn’t get any bigger than Wembley in my mind and it was an honour to join the select few that have headlined there.  It’s definitely a personal milestone and I’m so glad to share this special moment with all of my fans.”
