Caitlyn Jenner Introduces Culture Club At Los Angeles Concert: Watch
Caitlyn Jenner surprised fans last night (July 24) when she introduced New Wave group Culture Club, fronted by Boy George, at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. This concert was one of just a few public appearances that she’s made since completing her gender transition.
“Caitlyn Jenner in the house for her first Boy George concert!” she said — and concertgoers responded just as warmly. “I expected a standing ovation for her, and I wasn’t disappointed,” frontman Boy George said. “We need to celebrate the kinds of changes that are happening.”
Boy George has been a vocal supporter of Jenner. “The power of being yourself is so huge,” he said earlier this week to Associated Press. “I mean, you see it with Caitlyn Jenner. You know, at this point, being allowed to be who she is is so powerful. It’s permeating everything.”
