Charli XCX Taps SOPHIE
Charli says she's working on an electronic party album involving the producer.

It’s been over a year since we’ve heard new material from Mad Decent millennial LIZ, but she’s back in a big way with the exuberant, SOPHIE-produced “When I Rule The World.” The PC Music affiliate’s squiggly synthetic pop is a perfect match for LIZ’s Y2K obsession, with her late-period Britney Spears chirp grounding the overblown arrangement.

The video itself pops like SOPHIE’s favored bubble sound effects, with pastels, plush toys, kid dancers and a throne flashing by in quick bursts of color that stack up on top of each other like the song’s myriad hooks.

Indulge the senses up top.
