The Weeknd Rejected All Of Max Martin's Songs
This all occurred before they wrote "Can't Feel My Face."

Fresh after the teaser preview’s release, the official video for The Weeknd‘s “Can’t Feel My Face” single is now here.

Directed by Grant Singer, the usually-moody singer is refreshingly energetic as he performs the tune in front of a bored bar crowd. But that does not phase Abel! Once those drugs hit and he sees his love interest (played by model Chanel Iman), he gets deep into the zone and shows off his best Michael Jackson moves — yes, there is plenty of dancing involved.

The #LIT levels get even higher once a mysterious-looking fellow throws a lighter on stage and the Weeknd is literally on fire. A tribute to this infamous Pepsi moment, perhaps? The whole thing runs like an off-kilter parody, and shows an unexpected side to the oft-aloof Toronto native.

“Can’t Feel My Face” is The Weeknd’s first taste off his forthcoming Beauty Behind The Madness LP — which is set to drop on August 28.
