Columbia Records joins forces with MTV and Dimension TV join to deliver a killer soundtrack (pun intended!) to the hit small-screen adaptation of Scream. The cleverly-curated collection features an eclectic mix of the label’s hottest new talent including rising stars like Phoebe Ryan (“Mine”), George Ezra (“Spectacular Rival”) and LIZ (“When I Rule The World”). It also introduces us to complete newcomers like Ruelle, Remmi and Fleurie.

It’s great to see a revival in the good, old TV soundtrack. Music played an integral role in shows like Dawson’s Creek and The O.C. and their accompanying soundtrack albums delivered a string of memorable hits. That tradition seems to have fallen by the wayside in the digital age, but the right sync can still break an artist. Just look at Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song,” which first gained momentum after appearing in an episode of Pretty Little Liars. The Scream soundtrack drops August 14. You can pre-order it here and check out the full tracklist below.
