A joint statement has been issued by singers Gwen Stefani, 45, and husband of 13 years Gavin Rossdale, 49, stating that the pair are divorcing, reports Us Weekly.

Stefani, frontwoman for No Doubt, first met Rossdale, singer for Bush, when her band opened for his while on tour in 1995. Eventually the pair married on September 14, 2002.

“While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment,” reads their joint statement. “To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time.”

According to Us, both Gwen and Gavin are citing irreconcilable differences, and are seeking joint custody of their three young sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 17 months.

TMZ adds that there was no prenuptial agreement drawn up before Stefani and Rossdale were married. The site claims Voice coach Gwen’s net worth is $80 million, while her soon-to-be ex-husband stands at an estimated $35 million.

Stefani is due to appear in the upcoming ninth season of NBC’s The Voice.
