Brooke Candy Takes A Tumble In “Rubber Band Stacks” Video Preview
Brooke Candy revealed the eye-popping cover of new single “Rubber Band Stacks” in late July and shared a sneak peek at the video today (August 4). The rapper is known for her wild visual style — “Opulence” was nightmarishly brilliant — and that shines through in the brief clip, which finds the 26-year-old stuck inside a tumble drier in a fairly exotic coin laundry. (A flock of forlorn parrots are perched on the machines).
It will be interesting to see how the “I Wanna Fuck Right Now” diva’s new era is received. White female rappers have a particularly tough time in hip hop — Kreayshawn left the game $200,000 in debt — and the Iggy Azalea roller coaster ride hasn’t exactly made it easier. On the other hand, Brooke has some heavyhitters in her corner with Sia and Jack Antonoff reportedly contributing tracks to her debut LP. Watch a preview of “Rubber Band Stacks” below.
