Afrojack Interview
We speak to Afrojack about debut LP 'Forget The World' and the rise of Dutch EDM.

After six years of club hits and killer remixes, Afrojack finally got around to releasing his debut LP early last year. Forget The World delivered a string of crossover pop hits (Chris Brown-assisted banger “As Your Friend” and Wrabel-voiced dance anthem “Ten Feet Tall”) and even a boasted a cameo from Sting. After the shortest of breaks, the Dutch DJ returns with “SummerThing!” and could well have a seasonal smash on his hands.

Featuring newcomer Mike Taylor, “SummerThing!” has received an exceedingly warm reception from pop radio (it’s top 40 and climbing) and is starting to work its way up the iTunes download chart. All it needs is a killer visual and the 27-year-old delivers with a suitably debauched affair, which finds him throwing a dance party/wedding reception outside a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Watch Afrojack’s latest up top.
