Girls’ Generation Unveil The Cover Of New Album ‘Lion Heart’

2015 is shaping up to be the year of the K-pop girl group. First, the Wonder Girls return after a three year hiatus (complete with a line-up change and questionable new gimmick) and then T-ara make international headlines for beating One Direction in an online poll. Now it’s Girls’ Generation’s turn to shine with the announcement of their eighth LP Lion Heart, which will be released over two days. (Seven songs will drop on August 18, the remainder will follow on August 19).

The cover finds the ladies of SNSD all dolled up in ’50s dresses and that retro style is also reflected in the music. The title track is said to be a retro-pop song, while dual lead single “You Think” is described “an intense pop-rhythm song.” What can we expect of the rest of the album? SM Entertainment shared this little tidbit: “The diverse color of the music and stages will fascinate fans around the globe.” I’m not sure what that means, but I think I’m here for it!
