FKA Twigs Drops ‘M3LL155X’ EP & A 16-Minute Long Video: Watch
Surprise — FKA Twigs‘ M3LL155X (or Melissa) EP has arrived! The UK artist dropped the project out of nowhere today (August 13), which is accompanied by a 16-minute long video for all five tracks.
M3LL155X serves as the follow-up to Twigs’ debut LP1 album (released in August 2014), and features previously-heard tracks like “Glass & Patron” and the most recently revealed “Figure 8.” The lengthy music video is shot by the singer herself and is described as “an aggressive statement conceptualizing the process of feeling pregnant with pain, birthing creativity and liberation.” It is dark, haunting, elegant and embodies Twigs’ artistic nature.
