After dominating country airwaves in recent years with hits like “Better Dig Two,” “All Your Life” and the Grammy-nominated crossover smash “If I Die Young,” sibling trio The Band Perry are back with “Live Forever,” the lead single off their yet-to-be-announced third LP. And — surprise, surprise — the track, which plays like a power-pop Shania Twain anthem from the ’90s, is given an extra coating of commercial gloss by co-producer RedOne, who has, of course, helped craft hits for the likes of Lady Gaga (“Just Dance,” “Poker Face”) and Jennifer Lopez (“On The Floor,” “Dance Again”).

There’s actually a bit of Gaga “You And I” echo to be heard here in “Live Forever,” which makes sense given that Gaga herself was aiming for a country vibe by working on that particular 2011 single with Shania Twain’s ex-husband/producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange.

At any rate, Gaga approves of The Band Perry hooking up with her old pal RedOne, as evidenced by this tweet from the weekend:
