Beyoncé & FKA Twigs Producer Boots Announces Debut Album ‘AQUARIA’

Boots, the producer who showed up out of nowhere as one of the primary architects of Beyoncé, and who most recently collaborated with FKA twigs on her outstanding M3LL15X EP, has announced his debut album. AQUARIA is out November 13 on Columbia, and it’ll feature co-production from El-P (whom Boots worked with on a couple Run The Jewels tracks last year) and Carla Azar.
The man otherwise known as Jordy Asher has premiered the album’s title track, which features The Dirty Projectors collaborator Angel Deradoorian on vocals. It’s got a bit of a ’90s trip-hop vibe, with a syncopated murk comprising metallic clangs, electro blips, echoes and ghostly vocals.
