Nick Jonas’ “Levels”: Listen To His Brand New Single In Full

A galloping, funky bassline. That raspy tenor vocal, occasionally cracking into falsetto. And a chorus slightly reminiscent of Alanis Morissette‘s searing, seminal 1995 kiss-off anthem “You Oughta Know.” So goes Nick Jonas‘ brand new jam, “Levels,” a single that’s set to be released at midnight tonight…or, more specifically, on Friday, August 21.

It’s the first cut released after the cycle of the handsome singer’s self-titled 2014 album, which included hits “Jealous” and “Chains,” and the new single premiered on New York’s Z100 FM.

If all clicks correctly with radio across the country, “Levels” should dominate the forthcoming fall months the way “Jealous” did this past winter. And, who knows — we could even see Nick catapulted to Justin Timberlake-like, um, levels…a feat that, in a way, feels has been long overdue.
