“Cool For The Summer” is still on the rise (this week the Sapphic sex jam is at #16 on the singles chart), but that hasn’t stopped Demi Lovato‘s next single from surfacing online. Musically, “Confident,” another collaboration with Max Martin, is a boisterous pop anthem that plays like a mix of Kanye West‘s “All Of The Lights” and Katy Perry‘s “I Kissed A Girl” (by way of Gary Glitter‘s “Rock And Roll (Part 1)”). Vocally, Lovato pulls no punches here, and the singer seems poised to be this fall’s dominating female presence on pop radio.
