12 Albums You Forgot Were Released In 2015
We rounded up a dozen album that came and went so far this year.

In late June, UK paper the Daily Mirror cited sources who claimed that Adele‘s eagerly-awaited third album, called 25 according to the publication (and the 2014 World Music Awards), was initially set to be released as a Beyonce-like surprise late last year. Alas, a source told the Mirror the following: “She decided to rewrite some of the material but it’s now done and will hopefully be released later this year.”

So did whatever material Pharrell and Adele supposedly worked on together make the cut? Is the album country-influenced, as Kelly Clarkson claimed? Does Bette Midler feature anywhere on this thing? At least we know Phil Collins got the axe.

One cat that’s been let out of the bag: Adele’s new album will be out in the last quarter of 2015…at least according to a cover line on Entertainment Weekly‘s latest, Lady Gaga-featuring issue, which reads, “Fall Music Preview: New Albums From Adele / Prince/ Disclosure / Lana Del Rey.”

So far EW has yet to post its Fall Music Preview on the mag’s website, and the latest issue won’t hit newsstands until tomorrow (August 27). So hang tight, Adele fanatics.

One thing to point out: This year’s cut-off album release date for Grammy nominations is September 30. Just saying.
