Jasmine Thompson unveils the dreamy video for major label debut single "Adore." Watch.

Jasmine Thompson could be the only 14-year-old on the planet with two massive club hits under her belt. After building a huge following on YouTube, the talented teen teamed up with “Waves” producer Robin Schulz for deep house anthem “Sun Goes Down” and struck chart gold in Europe. She then repeated the feat by joining forces with Felix Jaehn (you might know him from a little song called “Cheerleader”). Their update of Rufus & Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody” has reached the top 10 in nine countries including Germany, France and the UK.

Boldly, neither song appears on Jasmine’s major label debut EP Adore (due September 18). Instead, the five-song set introduces us to the Brit’s solo material. Which is astounding good if the dreamy title track and “Do It Now” are any indication. Produced by Steve Mac (Jess Glynne, Ella Henderson and Charli XCX), the latter finds the budding diva in a wistful mood — at least, initially. “If I had a second chance on love I would do it now (do it now), I would do it now (do it now),” she sings over a blanket of synths and acoustic instruments.

“‘Do It Now’ is one of my favorite tracks on the EP,” Jasmine reveals. “It starts out very moody and dark, but when the chorus comes in, it turns into this upbeat song with a positive message about not getting stuck on the past. The lyric, ‘Put your best suit on and carry on. Don’t be fooled by how your life has turned out,’ is about accepting the things you can’t change, learning from it, and moving on.” Listen to the melancholy/uplifting pop anthem below:
