Cheat Codes’ Neon-Colored “Visions (Boehm Remix)” Video: Idolator Premiere
Among the midst of heavyweight pop stars, we occasionally stumble upon some pretty awesome musical gems from up-and-coming artists. The latest comes from Cheat Codes, whose video for “Visions (Boehm Remix” we are premiering on Idolator today.
The Los Angeles trio’s — comprised of Matthew Russell, Trevor Dahl and Kevin Ford — their latest tune (the first one they made as a group) shows just why they were featured in our Top Rising House Producers list. Directed by Chris Campbell, the accompanying video is a glowing neon rave with Cheat Codes jamming out to the breezy, sunkissed remix in an undisclosed warehouse.
“With a week to turn around a video, we had a bit of a mad dash to come up with a concept. After sorting through ideas that ranged form boats, beach houses, and vintage convertibles, a reality set in that aimed us in a more straight forward direction. Branding Cheat Codes. This video was the opportunity to reach a larger audience and really let people know who these guys are; funny, unique, and killer DJ’s. I always love working with guys like these: guys who are willing to look a little ridiculous at times and are always open to just go with the flow when it comes to shooting and spitballing ideas.”
Cheat Codes will support New York City-based DJ/producer/songwriting duo The Chainsmokers on select dates of the just announced Friend Zone Tour this Fall. Check out the tour stops below, and watch the “Visions (Boehm Remix)” video up top.
