The UK duo are pretty in pink for their upcoming third LP.

Hurts have followed up “Some Kind Of Heaven,” the lead single off the UK synth duo’s third LP Surrender (out October 9), with smooth disco-pop throwback “Lights.” Theo Hutchcraft and Anderson amped up the must-see factor for the track’s accompanying music video by enlisting the expertise of British director Dawn Shadforth, who’s shot such memorable clips over the years as Kylie Minogue‘s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” Goldfrapp‘s “Ooh La La” and, most recently, Selena Gomez‘s “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”

In the trippy visual for “Lights,” a completely soused Hutchcraft engages in some slick dance moves with a lovely blonde club-goer. The entire video runs nearly seven minutes long, and about five minutes in things take a completely unexpected, violent turn.

But don’t worry — there’s a nice bloody, synchronized dance sequence on the street to give that sees this whole shebang ending on an “up” note.
