Pop Perspective: Selena Gomez's "Good For You"
Selena Gomez's "Good For You" gets reviewed and rated by all four Idolator editors.

Selena Gomez is on a roll. The 23-year-old’s collaboration with A$AP Rocky “Good For You” has been certified by platinum by the RIAA — her 10th consecutive single to achieve that honor. (Yes, “Hit The Lights” was downloaded a million times without ever gracing the Billboard Hot 100). Produced by Sir Nolan, Revival’s edgy lead single has been sold approximately 800,000 copies and racked up 200,000 units. (100 streams equals one unit).

It’s an impressive result given the pop star’s minimal approach to promotion. Selena is yet to perform “Good For You” on television (she did belt it out earlier this week at a Taylor Swift concert) and is conspicuously absent from Sunday night’s (August 30) MTV VMAs. Who else could treat their massively-hyped, genre-changing single as a buzz track and still reach the top 10 and go platinum? Bow down.
